Where are you based? Do you travel?

I live in Brooklyn, NY but travel frequently. I've shot weddings in Aruba, Las Vegas, Iceland, Malibu, and all around the east coast. Before moving to NYC, I was based in Boston and you'll still find me in the area pretty frequently. I love any excuse to travel, so let's chat about your wedding day vision and make it happen!

What is your shooting style?

My style is rooted in my background in photojournalism and editorial fashion. I love helping couples feel and look their best for artistic portraits and want you to walk away from your wedding day knowing that every little detail was captured with the utmost care.

Oh, APW also had some really sweet things to say about my candid style.

What sort of gear do you use?

I'm a canon lady. I shoot with top of the line canon 5d mark iv's and a range of lenses that enable me to capture you in any environment or lighting scenario. I also have several lights, backups for everything I own, and insurance :).

What advice would give you a bride searching for a wedding photographer?

Your photographer is going to help capture one of the most important days of your lives and will be by your side through the tears, laughter, and chaos. I highly recommend choosing to work with an artist whom makes you comfortable, helps you let loose, and makes you feel like the superstar that you are. When I show up to photograph a wedding day - I show up as your friend and will do everything possible to support you and your fiancé having the time of your lives with incredible imagery to follow suit.

Do you work with a second shooter or assistant?

Glad you asked! My two kittens, Winnie and Lola, are my current interns in training. They don't have the best attention span but they're great company while I edit. I have several second shooters that I work with regularly. They are all full time wedding professionals and folks that share a similar style and approach to myself. While I'm happy to shoot on my own, many of my clients opt for my lengthier packages that include a second shooter for added coverage, dual perspectives, and logistic sanity.

Do you shoot in color or black and white?

I shoot in color but process my work in both black and white, as well as color, depending on the weather, mood, and stylistic choices. You can expect about 1/3 of your images to be beautiful black and whites.

How many photos can we expect to receive?

I really want to capture all the excitement of your day to the fullest. While it's difficult to pinpoint an exact number, you can generally expect between 50-100 retouched, hi- res photographs per hour of coverage.

Can we order prints through you?

Of course! You'll have the option of ordering beautiful prints of any size through your online gallery. When you go through my website I'll be able to double check everything at my print lab for you.

When do we get to see our photos?

Great question! You'll have a sneak preview both via email, instagram, and possibly on my facebook page within one week of your wedding date. You'll receive your full wedding gallery no later than 10-12 weeks of your wedding day.

Alright, you seem pretty rad! What do we need to do to book you?

Hooray! I can't wait to get to know you and learn more about your wedding day vision. To book me, please send an email to hannahcohenphotography@gmail.com // From there we can hop on a call to get to know one another better and chat about your ideal wedding collection. Afterward, I'll send over a simple contract for you to look over and will require a 50% deposit to secure the date.

Let's do this!
